No. The primary mission of NorthSouth is to fund educational scholarships for needy children in India. We are a purely volunteer based organization. All our volunteers support the organization without any monetary benefit in return. We are very much thankful and bow to our volunteers for their generosity in donating their time and expertise not only to provide quality education to students in US but also to help fund the scholarships in India.
NorthSouth is a Certifying Organization for PVSA. Certifying organization is an organization that has been granted authority through an application and review process to give out the PVSA to volunteers. Certifying Organizations verify and certify that a volunteer has met the requirements to receive a PVSA within a 12 month period specified by the Certifying Organization. Only Certifying Organizations can certify volunteers’ eligibility for the PVSA and order awards.
Please find the information for Presidential volunteer service awards on their website here: https://presidentialserviceawards.gov/

The coach will share different resources throughout the class, whether it’s math, SAT, geography or any subject and will recommend using online or buy a book. The actual course material will not be shared however we encourage students to take their notes during the class to understand it better.
Yes, it is the same from NorthSouth however every coach has a different way of teaching
NorthSouth has their own course curriculum and it is generally equivalent to the grade level however it is advanced in some subjects especially Math and added some aptitude level contents.
The coaches will recommend but not assess, if your child is in grade level which is matching to the competition criteria, you can register and give it a try.
No, Parent should decide based on child's grade level.
Child can email the coach.
Please turn on email notifications for google classroom. Thank you coach Rohit Hari
It varies as every subject is different.
For SAT, it is automatic and online as it is multiple choice and the system does it. For Math, Automatic grading is difficult, we provide the answer key and the student can do self grading. Students can also discuss with their coach if they have any difficulty understanding the self grading and the grade.
They can use parents email or you can create a student account, use "manage student login email" under parents login .
We expect the parents not to attend the session. Please help them set up initially before the class to make sure their internet connection is working, they have headphones to listen and then recommend parents to periodically check on the class how they are doing.
It will vary subject to subject, there will be homework for each class. Generally we start with easier homework and gradually add to some difficult homeworks.
The course is "Introduction to Spelling" It is Methodical way of teaching and learn to spell is our focus not memorizing the words like how to read a dictionary, what is the origin of the word, prefixes, suffixes and there is a practice sheet that they can use. It is a more methodical way of learning how to spell a word rather than memorizing the spelling.
It will vary coach to coach however yes the first few minutes of the class is for discussing the homework and if the students have any additional questions.
It is a lot of practice that a child has to do to get confidence for the preparation of SAP/ACT and learning the right techniques. NorthSouth teaches some tricks and techniques, NorthSouth classes by itself are not sufficient, it is a combination of NorthSouth and other supplemental classes to make students better prepare for these exams. Practice is the key for SAT/ACT.
Vocabulary class is for more understanding of the words like where it is derived from, what is the origin.
Spelling Bee is more to spell the word correctly whereas Vocabulary Bee is more for understanding the work and writings.
