Bithoor is a town in Kanpur district, 23.4 kilometres (14.5 mi) by road north of the centre of Kanpur city, in Uttar Pradesh, India. Bithoor is situated on the right bank of the River Ganges, and is a centre of Hindu pilgrimage. Bithoor is also the centre for War of Independence of 1857 as Nana Sahib, a popular freedom fighter who was based there. The city is enlisted as a municipality of Kanpur metropolitan area. Valmiki Ashram was situated in Bithoor. Mata Sita received shelter in the ashram after separation from Shree Ram and gave birth to Lav and Kush. Ramayana was written here.

Bithoor Kanpur chapter was formally inaugurated in Bithoor on 14 Nov 2022. It caters to outskirts of Kanpur City and District of Kanpur Dehat. It is operated from Ramjanki Inter College Bithoor, www.ramjankibithoor.in, by Capt Sudhir Subhedar. It is supported by Rotary club.

In its first year 12 applicants were received and processed successfully for five eligible students pursuing technical degrees.
