Moradabad is located in Western UP, approximately 160 km from New Delhi. Moradabad was established in 1600 by Prince Murad, son of Emperor Shah Jahan, on the bank of Ramganga River. Today, Moradabad is famous for its brass exports to to the whole world and its extremely diverse populations.

The NSF Moradabad chapter was founded in 2010 with the purpose of serving the entire UP and Uttarakhand states. Located in the heart of UP, its location serves the purpose well. In its first year, three scholarships were given to students with the hope of expanding significantly in the coming year.
